tacsoW invite you to read a report prepared by one of our regular collaborators, Mirek Warowicki. His paper deals with the role and activities of civil society organisations in Poland. Enriched by statistical data and desription of legal issues, the report offers a comprehensive study of Poland’s CSO sector.

It was written for the TACSO project in which the FSLD is a consortium partner and co-organized study trips of 15 CSOs from Western Balkans in 2012. This report synthesizes findings from available documents, and is also based on interviews with representatives of Polish Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to complement the documentary analysis. It thus draws on insights from the study of a variety of changes, mobilizations and movements, and institutional frameworks, and indicates
the constraints and challenges faced by civil society and CSOs in Poland.
